Narrative:
My student was making his 6TH landing of the day, his 3RD solo landing on his 1ST solo flight. I watched the ldng from 2000 ft down the runway. After the student made a successful landing the plane (DA20) veered left off the runway. The student said the left tire 'locked up' on him and he could not keep the plane from traveling left off the runway. Upon further investigation we (chief pilot and I) discovered 3 sets of skid marks from the aircraft's tires. I cannot speculate as to what happened from the time of touchdown to the time the aircraft came to a full stop off the runway. (I was not in the plane.) I will give my student additional ground and flight training in both landing and after landing procedures.
