Narrative:
During a climbing left turn (to head south) a low wing twin popped into view at 12 O'clock position. The twin was headed northeast in an approximately 20 degree right turn. Because the twin continued its turn to the south and then due south until they disappeared over manatee, I do not believe that they saw me. My anti collision strobes and taxi light was on. I turned the taxi light on due to the number of cumulus clouds and overcast conditions in the area. Many of which were the same color as my aircraft. When I saw the twin, I rolled right to a westerly heading and descended 200 ft. This incident vividly demonstrated how quickly 2 aircraft approach. I thought I had maintained a good scan, but in the future will work to improve my scanning technique.

Title: KATANA PLT HAS CLOSE PROX WITH TWIN ON CLBOUT. NOT IN CONTACT AT THE TIME. TURN TO R TO AVOID CONTACT.
Narrative: DURING A CLBING L TURN (TO HEAD S) A LOW WING TWIN POPPED INTO VIEW AT 12 O'CLOCK POS. THE TWIN WAS HEADED NE IN AN APPROX 20 DEG R TURN. BECAUSE THE TWIN CONTINUED ITS TURN TO THE S AND THEN DUE S UNTIL THEY DISAPPEARED OVER MANATEE, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY SAW ME. MY ANTI COLLISION STROBES AND TAXI LIGHT WAS ON. I TURNED THE TAXI LIGHT ON DUE TO THE NUMBER OF CUMULUS CLOUDS AND OVCST CONDITIONS IN THE AREA. MANY OF WHICH WERE THE SAME COLOR AS MY ACFT. WHEN I SAW THE TWIN, I ROLLED R TO A WESTERLY HDG AND DSNDED 200 FT. THIS INCIDENT VIVIDLY DEMONSTRATED HOW QUICKLY 2 ACFT APCH. I THOUGHT I HAD MAINTAINED A GOOD SCAN, BUT IN THE FUTURE WILL WORK TO IMPROVE MY SCANNING TECHNIQUE.
