Narrative:
ATC facility: las. Following maximum climb/takeoff departure we failed to select climb power until after the 5 min limit. Selected climb power at about 6 mins. Do not think we exceeded any N1, N2, or egt limits. Called company technician during subsequent climb to report occurrence and to find out if it was reasonable to continue flight. With technician concurrence we continued flight to dfw. No anomalies noted at any time and landed normally at dfw. Upon arrival maintenance pulled flight recorder information to confirm no limits exceeded. This message composed as maintenance action is being completed. Not sure why climb power was not selected per normal procedures, unsure as to whether I called for climb as the flaps were retracted. We were departing against the flow of traffic at las because of climb limit and runway limit requirements and cockpit workload was higher than normal but should not have precluded selecting climb power.

Title: FLC OF S80 NEGLECTS TO SELECT CLB PWR UNTIL 6 MINS AFTER TKOF. CONCERNED ABOUT EXCEEDING LIMITS THEY CONTACT COMPANY AND DECISION IS TO CONTINUE FLT.
Narrative: ATC FACILITY: LAS. FOLLOWING MAX CLB/TKOF DEP WE FAILED TO SELECT CLB PWR UNTIL AFTER THE 5 MIN LIMIT. SELECTED CLB PWR AT ABOUT 6 MINS. DO NOT THINK WE EXCEEDED ANY N1, N2, OR EGT LIMITS. CALLED COMPANY TECHNICIAN DURING SUBSEQUENT CLB TO RPT OCCURRENCE AND TO FIND OUT IF IT WAS REASONABLE TO CONTINUE FLT. WITH TECHNICIAN CONCURRENCE WE CONTINUED FLT TO DFW. NO ANOMALIES NOTED AT ANY TIME AND LANDED NORMALLY AT DFW. UPON ARR MAINT PULLED FLT RECORDER INFO TO CONFIRM NO LIMITS EXCEEDED. THIS MESSAGE COMPOSED AS MAINT ACTION IS BEING COMPLETED. NOT SURE WHY CLB PWR WAS NOT SELECTED PER NORMAL PROCS, UNSURE AS TO WHETHER I CALLED FOR CLB AS THE FLAPS WERE RETRACTED. WE WERE DEPARTING AGAINST THE FLOW OF TFC AT LAS BECAUSE OF CLB LIMIT AND RWY LIMIT REQUIREMENTS AND COCKPIT WORKLOAD WAS HIGHER THAN NORMAL BUT SHOULD NOT HAVE PRECLUDED SELECTING CLB PWR.
