Narrative:

As I was serving beverages during the meal service, I observed passenger with her bare feet on the flight attendant jump seat. I calmly and quietly said, 'I'm going to ask you to remove your bare feet from the flight attendant jump seat.' she refused. I reached down and gently pulled up on the jump seat (not with viciousness or any intent to hurt her). She did then remove her feet and at the same time became very angered. Next, she forcefully shoved 2 meal trays (hers and her seat mate's) forward and off her tray table, causing food to land all over the floor and a cold beverage spilled on her clothing. I moved another step or 2 further (aft), pushing the cart that I was working from. She then got out of her seat, scooped up food from the floor (my back was now to her), reached around my right side and smeared it on my face (from ear to ear and across my mouth). That was followed by her grabbing the belt of my apron and jerking me backwards. Except to mention (again, calmly and quietly) the possibility of the police meeting the flight in new york, due to this incident, I did not say or do anything further. At this time, I left the area so as not to be near her. The police did meet the flight and passenger was taken to port authority/authorized, as was I, where I talked to persons with the government and FAA and wrote a report.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT ON AN A300 AIR BUS RECEIVED PHYSICAL ABUSE FROM A PAX AFTER THE PAX WAS ASKED TO REMOVE HER BARE FEET FROM A FLT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT. PAX SMEARED FOOD ON THE ATTENDANT'S FACE AND JERKED HER BACKWARD BY HER APRON. THE FLT ATTENDANT HAS 34 YRS EXPERIENCE, ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN WITH THE SAME AIRLINE. SHE IS QUALIFIED IN 4 DIFFERENT ACFT.

Narrative: AS I WAS SERVING BEVERAGES DURING THE MEAL SVC, I OBSERVED PAX WITH HER BARE FEET ON THE FLT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT. I CALMLY AND QUIETLY SAID, 'I'M GOING TO ASK YOU TO REMOVE YOUR BARE FEET FROM THE FLT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT.' SHE REFUSED. I REACHED DOWN AND GENTLY PULLED UP ON THE JUMP SEAT (NOT WITH VICIOUSNESS OR ANY INTENT TO HURT HER). SHE DID THEN REMOVE HER FEET AND AT THE SAME TIME BECAME VERY ANGERED. NEXT, SHE FORCEFULLY SHOVED 2 MEAL TRAYS (HERS AND HER SEAT MATE'S) FORWARD AND OFF HER TRAY TABLE, CAUSING FOOD TO LAND ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND A COLD BEVERAGE SPILLED ON HER CLOTHING. I MOVED ANOTHER STEP OR 2 FURTHER (AFT), PUSHING THE CART THAT I WAS WORKING FROM. SHE THEN GOT OUT OF HER SEAT, SCOOPED UP FOOD FROM THE FLOOR (MY BACK WAS NOW TO HER), REACHED AROUND MY R SIDE AND SMEARED IT ON MY FACE (FROM EAR TO EAR AND ACROSS MY MOUTH). THAT WAS FOLLOWED BY HER GRABBING THE BELT OF MY APRON AND JERKING ME BACKWARDS. EXCEPT TO MENTION (AGAIN, CALMLY AND QUIETLY) THE POSSIBILITY OF THE POLICE MEETING THE FLT IN NEW YORK, DUE TO THIS INCIDENT, I DID NOT SAY OR DO ANYTHING FURTHER. AT THIS TIME, I LEFT THE AREA SO AS NOT TO BE NEAR HER. THE POLICE DID MEET THE FLT AND PAX WAS TAKEN TO PORT AUTH, AS WAS I, WHERE I TALKED TO PERSONS WITH THE GOV AND FAA AND WROTE A RPT.
