On approach at pap cleared for ganiv 1A approach to ILS runway 9 at 8000 ft crossing 319 degree radial and 24 DME arc from pap, GPWS warning (terrain pull up) executed red box. Climbed to 9600 ft and VMC conditions. WX on approach was IMC moderate rain and light chop. After maneuver, continued approach in VMC conditions and landed.
