Narrative:
Went around at 200 ft because we were too close behind the aircraft in front. On downwind lost 300 ft altitude, called approach control. They said the spacing was too close for landing and the altitude deviation was no problem. The only reason for filing this report is we had someone in the cabin make a complaint.

Title: AN ACR B727 FLC SUBMITTED THIS RPT AFTER RECEIVING A PAX COMPLAINT CONCERNING THEIR GAR. THE FLC ALSO ADMIT TO AN ALTDEV.
Narrative: WENT AROUND AT 200 FT BECAUSE WE WERE TOO CLOSE BEHIND THE ACFT IN FRONT. ON DOWNWIND LOST 300 FT ALT, CALLED APCH CTL. THEY SAID THE SPACING WAS TOO CLOSE FOR LNDG AND THE ALTDEV WAS NO PROB. THE ONLY REASON FOR FILING THIS RPT IS WE HAD SOMEONE IN THE CABIN MAKE A COMPLAINT.
