Narrative:
Crew arrived at dlh airport. Mechanic/agent informed captain that aircraft would have to be repositioned from gate X to gate Y. Agent told captain aircraft would have to make a right turn out as dlh has no ground tugs. Crew accomplished all checklists and procedures in accordance with SOP. After receiving all clear signal from ground marshaller and wing walker, captain proceeded to make a right turnout. Upon engine shutdown, marshaller informed captain that the left wingtip navigation light lens cover touched the flex portion of the jetway. The lens cover was cracked and had to be replaced. All appropriate company supervisors were notified. Later, the marshaller informed captain that the morning sun blinded him, he could not see properly and therefore he could not clear the area. He stated (marshaller) that he should have given the crew the stop signal but failed to do so. The crew was unaware that the lens cover was cracked. Maintenance replaced lens cover in accordance with all procedures.
