Narrative:
During landing roll, as aircraft slowed, aircraft was in good position to use the taxiway C. Upon turning into the taxiway, it was noticed that the taxiway edge lights were red in color and seemed to be of a temporary nature. No taxiway closures were notamed, no cones or lights blocked the taxiway itself. We were unable to contact tower due to frequency congestion. Traffic was short final to our runway, so we proceeded. No obstructions were encountered. We were unable to verify the status of the taxiway (open/closed). I have never seen red taxiway lights before, neither had the first officer. Had time permitted, we could have asked questions. If a taxiway is to be closed, it would probably be best to place lights across the entrance, so there would be no doubt in the minds of the pilots.

Title: BA3100 ACFT AFTER LNDG AND TURNING OFF, FLC BELIEVES THAT TXWY EDGE LIGHTS ARE RED AND, DUE TO FREQ CONGESTION, ARE UNABLE TO CLARIFY WITH TWR.
Narrative: DURING LNDG ROLL, AS ACFT SLOWED, ACFT WAS IN GOOD POS TO USE THE TXWY C. UPON TURNING INTO THE TXWY, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE TXWY EDGE LIGHTS WERE RED IN COLOR AND SEEMED TO BE OF A TEMPORARY NATURE. NO TXWY CLOSURES WERE NOTAMED, NO CONES OR LIGHTS BLOCKED THE TXWY ITSELF. WE WERE UNABLE TO CONTACT TWR DUE TO FREQ CONGESTION. TFC WAS SHORT FINAL TO OUR RWY, SO WE PROCEEDED. NO OBSTRUCTIONS WERE ENCOUNTERED. WE WERE UNABLE TO VERIFY THE STATUS OF THE TXWY (OPEN/CLOSED). I HAVE NEVER SEEN RED TXWY LIGHTS BEFORE, NEITHER HAD THE FO. HAD TIME PERMITTED, WE COULD HAVE ASKED QUESTIONS. IF A TXWY IS TO BE CLOSED, IT WOULD PROBABLY BE BEST TO PLACE LIGHTS ACROSS THE ENTRANCE, SO THERE WOULD BE NO DOUBT IN THE MINDS OF THE PLTS.
