Narrative:

Mr X asked me for 2 vodkas. He spilled them right away and asked for 2 more. He drank them quickly (approximately 5 mins). After we moved the cart from his row, he came back to the #4 flight attendant. Mr X asked him to take his trash and he, the flight attendant, said he would be back to get it after the service. Mr X threw all his trash on the #4 flight attendant. Later in flight, I went through to pick up trash. Ms Y, who was sitting at the window in his row, said she had to get out of there and that mr X was crazy. He had been pinching her arm. Mr X started to walk up to the forward part of cabin. I told him he needed to situation down but he went up front anyway. He stopped between the first row of seats in main cabin. I asked him to move. I wanted to call the cockpit to let them know of the situation. He turned to me and said, 'the answer is no.' his eyes were glassy and seemed quite drunk. I finally got by and called the pilots. Later he went into first class and tried to choke a first class passenger. He also head butted the #1 flight attendant. Some passenger, the #4 flight attendant, and the first officer subdued him, handcuffed him, and placed him in a first class seat. Later I found out he was a diabetic and also had a drinking problem. The alcohol seemed to have an almost sudden impact on him. He didn't appear drunk upon boarding the aircraft, although he admitted to fbi agent that he had several drinks on his previous flight. I felt as if his problem was deeper than being drunk. He didn't seem rational, and even a little senile. The fbi officer said he was a totally different man the next day. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states that the fbi did file federal charges against the passenger. He was later released. He was a very big man and when he began stumbling and staggering he was very clumsy and needed to be out of the aisle. The flight crew made the determination to place him in first class so he could be restrained. There were no injuries.

Narrative: MR X ASKED ME FOR 2 VODKAS. HE SPILLED THEM RIGHT AWAY AND ASKED FOR 2 MORE. HE DRANK THEM QUICKLY (APPROX 5 MINS). AFTER WE MOVED THE CART FROM HIS ROW, HE CAME BACK TO THE #4 FLT ATTENDANT. MR X ASKED HIM TO TAKE HIS TRASH AND HE, THE FLT ATTENDANT, SAID HE WOULD BE BACK TO GET IT AFTER THE SVC. MR X THREW ALL HIS TRASH ON THE #4 FLT ATTENDANT. LATER IN FLT, I WENT THROUGH TO PICK UP TRASH. MS Y, WHO WAS SITTING AT THE WINDOW IN HIS ROW, SAID SHE HAD TO GET OUT OF THERE AND THAT MR X WAS CRAZY. HE HAD BEEN PINCHING HER ARM. MR X STARTED TO WALK UP TO THE FORWARD PART OF CABIN. I TOLD HIM HE NEEDED TO SIT DOWN BUT HE WENT UP FRONT ANYWAY. HE STOPPED BTWN THE FIRST ROW OF SEATS IN MAIN CABIN. I ASKED HIM TO MOVE. I WANTED TO CALL THE COCKPIT TO LET THEM KNOW OF THE SIT. HE TURNED TO ME AND SAID, 'THE ANSWER IS NO.' HIS EYES WERE GLASSY AND SEEMED QUITE DRUNK. I FINALLY GOT BY AND CALLED THE PLTS. LATER HE WENT INTO FIRST CLASS AND TRIED TO CHOKE A FIRST CLASS PAX. HE ALSO HEAD BUTTED THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT. SOME PAX, THE #4 FLT ATTENDANT, AND THE FO SUBDUED HIM, HANDCUFFED HIM, AND PLACED HIM IN A FIRST CLASS SEAT. LATER I FOUND OUT HE WAS A DIABETIC AND ALSO HAD A DRINKING PROB. THE ALCOHOL SEEMED TO HAVE AN ALMOST SUDDEN IMPACT ON HIM. HE DIDN'T APPEAR DRUNK UPON BOARDING THE ACFT, ALTHOUGH HE ADMITTED TO FBI AGENT THAT HE HAD SEVERAL DRINKS ON HIS PREVIOUS FLT. I FELT AS IF HIS PROB WAS DEEPER THAN BEING DRUNK. HE DIDN'T SEEM RATIONAL, AND EVEN A LITTLE SENILE. THE FBI OFFICER SAID HE WAS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MAN THE NEXT DAY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THAT THE FBI DID FILE FEDERAL CHARGES AGAINST THE PAX. HE WAS LATER RELEASED. HE WAS A VERY BIG MAN AND WHEN HE BEGAN STUMBLING AND STAGGERING HE WAS VERY CLUMSY AND NEEDED TO BE OUT OF THE AISLE. THE FLC MADE THE DETERMINATION TO PLACE HIM IN FIRST CLASS SO HE COULD BE RESTRAINED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
