Narrative:
Flight XXX from jfk-bqn was parked at gate prior to passenger boarding. I was in my seat in the cockpit and felt the aircraft rock back and forth. I got out of my seat to investigate. The flight engineer said it felt like something hit the back end of the aircraft as he was in the cabin at the time. We proceeded to the ramp to find that a baggage tug had hit the aft airstairs which were down and locked at the time.
