Narrative:
Problem #1 TCASII RA. When level at FL230 we saw a TCASII target at 2 O'clock position +00 in red followed by a descend advisory. We clicked off autoplt, pushed nose over to 3000 FPM descent and descended to FL223. ATC stated that aircraft was cleared to descend to FL240. Problem #2 strong toxic fumes in cockpit. Crew went on oxygen. Problem continued except oxygen helped symptoms of light headedness. Left oxygen on for duration of flight. Uneventful landing at bna.
