Narrative:
Ill passenger, history of heart trouble, on nitroglycerin, possible heart attack (shortness of breath and chest pain). 2 doctors on board recommended landing. Neither could hear heart with stethoscope provided in emergency medical kit. Also, unable to get blood pressure. Made overweight landing at mci. Deplaned passenger, who was conscious. Declared emergency for diversion and overweight landing. Took about 20 mins to get passenger to gate after initial problem. Emergency medical kit needs more drugs and better equipment. (We don't even carry aspirin, tylenol has replaced it.) if passenger had arrested, our only choice would have been cpr. Defibrillation equipment would have been very helpful (both for ekg and defibrillation if necessary).
