Narrative:
This is to resubmit my earlier report on the same subject. Agents in yyc bypass the security monitor screening that crews and passenger have to go through. 2 yrs ago I had this same discussion with the yyc gm and he said the canadian agent can bypass screening. I contacted FAA and security then and now and was informed he is and was wrong. Agents in yyc insist they had an FAA and security audit in october that they passed with flying colors and that all the other american carriers in yyc have agents bypass security. In short I am wrong. The agents working my flight were nice enough to go through screening though. Around 10 yrs ago an agent bypassed security, shot his supervisor in-flight, and then killed the crew. Now we have a situation where the crew goes through security but in full view of the public and at the same time the agents do not. Mexican, american and european agents go through security what makes canada so special? Is it hard to dress up like an agent and bypass security or do the security checkers at yyc know all the agents personally and whether or not they have been fired. Please use this forum to make sure everyone is using the same rule book.
