Narrative:
Visual approach to runway 10L at pit. Had noted on ATIS that runway 10L, taxiway B closed between B1 and B4. On touchdown tower instructed us to proceed to end as expeditiously as possible due to traffic on short final behind us. Second turnoff, from end (B2) appeared to be normal, no barricades, markings or lights of any kind -- (construction on taxiway was behind us at that point) and was open to the end of the B parallel. After turning off, we realized we were on B2 which was noted closed on ATIS, but again appeared normal and open at a quick glance turning off the active. Ground control advised we were on a closed taxiway portion, but then cleared us to taxi straight ahead to the end and to the gate. Suggestions: 1) local ATC controller when giving the expedite off runway instruction could have mentioned not to use this taxiway which appeared normal and open. 2) markers or lights of some kind should have been in place, but were not on this portion of taxiway. The only indication of closure was the notation on ATIS.

Title: B737-400 ACFT INSTRUCTED BY TWR TO EXPEDITE OFF RWY FOR LNDG TFC, SO RPTR CAPT EXITED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BUT THE TXWY WAS NOTED CLOSED ON ATIS. GND CTLR ADVISED FLC THAT THEY WERE ON CLOSED TXWY BUT CLRED THEM TO THE RAMP.
Narrative: VISUAL APCH TO RWY 10L AT PIT. HAD NOTED ON ATIS THAT RWY 10L, TXWY B CLOSED BTWN B1 AND B4. ON TOUCHDOWN TWR INSTRUCTED US TO PROCEED TO END AS EXPEDITIOUSLY AS POSSIBLE DUE TO TFC ON SHORT FINAL BEHIND US. SECOND TURNOFF, FROM END (B2) APPEARED TO BE NORMAL, NO BARRICADES, MARKINGS OR LIGHTS OF ANY KIND -- (CONSTRUCTION ON TXWY WAS BEHIND US AT THAT POINT) AND WAS OPEN TO THE END OF THE B PARALLEL. AFTER TURNING OFF, WE REALIZED WE WERE ON B2 WHICH WAS NOTED CLOSED ON ATIS, BUT AGAIN APPEARED NORMAL AND OPEN AT A QUICK GLANCE TURNING OFF THE ACTIVE. GND CTL ADVISED WE WERE ON A CLOSED TXWY PORTION, BUT THEN CLRED US TO TAXI STRAIGHT AHEAD TO THE END AND TO THE GATE. SUGGESTIONS: 1) LCL ATC CTLR WHEN GIVING THE EXPEDITE OFF RWY INSTRUCTION COULD HAVE MENTIONED NOT TO USE THIS TXWY WHICH APPEARED NORMAL AND OPEN. 2) MARKERS OR LIGHTS OF SOME KIND SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN PLACE, BUT WERE NOT ON THIS PORTION OF TXWY. THE ONLY INDICATION OF CLOSURE WAS THE NOTATION ON ATIS.
