Narrative:

I heard a strange noise in my headset. I couldn't eliminate the noise. I couldn't receive any audio on communication and navigation radios. After 2-4 mins I realized the microphone button on the yoke was stuck open. I turned it off, strange noise went away and ric approach chastised me for the stuck microphone. I also realized that all I said to myself while trying to determine the problem was broadcast to everyone else on the frequency (134.7 MHZ). I've told the aircraft operator of the problem. For myself, I'll know how to recognize the problem immediately if it ever happens again.
