Narrative:

After landing on runway 25L, mccarran international, las vegas, nv, we cleared the runway at taxiway A7. Tower instructed us to cross runway 25R and contact ground control. After clearing runway 25L at taxiway A7 and crossing taxiway a, I was at runway 25R and A7 intersection. I did not see taxiway A7 north of runway 25R and at that moment I thought that I had crossed runway 25R and was at the intersection of taxiway A7 and taxiway B, north of and parallel to runway 25R. I turned right and immediately realized that I had turned east on runway 25R. We notified tower of my error and were cleared to exit the runway at taxiway A6. Taxiway A7 requires an exaggerated left turn to cross runway 25R at taxiway A7. Facing north as I was when at the intersection of runway 25L and taxiway A7, it appeared to me that I was at the intersection of txwys A7 and B. There was no traffic conflict with this situation.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 25L, MCCARRAN INTL, LAS VEGAS, NV, WE CLRED THE RWY AT TXWY A7. TWR INSTRUCTED US TO CROSS RWY 25R AND CONTACT GND CTL. AFTER CLRING RWY 25L AT TXWY A7 AND XING TXWY A, I WAS AT RWY 25R AND A7 INTXN. I DID NOT SEE TXWY A7 N OF RWY 25R AND AT THAT MOMENT I THOUGHT THAT I HAD CROSSED RWY 25R AND WAS AT THE INTXN OF TXWY A7 AND TXWY B, N OF AND PARALLEL TO RWY 25R. I TURNED R AND IMMEDIATELY REALIZED THAT I HAD TURNED E ON RWY 25R. WE NOTIFIED TWR OF MY ERROR AND WERE CLRED TO EXIT THE RWY AT TXWY A6. TXWY A7 REQUIRES AN EXAGGERATED L TURN TO CROSS RWY 25R AT TXWY A7. FACING N AS I WAS WHEN AT THE INTXN OF RWY 25L AND TXWY A7, IT APPEARED TO ME THAT I WAS AT THE INTXN OF TXWYS A7 AND B. THERE WAS NO TFC CONFLICT WITH THIS SIT.
