Narrative:
Short final runway 21C dtw, gear was extended. The right main green light did not illuminate, but there was no red 'unsafe' light. After a go around, the manual was consulted, and cockpit lighting turned up, along with the master warning light switch. With that switch in bright, the gear light functioned normally, and the approach was resumed, and the landing accomplished.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN ACR B727 FLC NOTED THAT THE R MAIN LNDG GEAR 'GREEN' LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE GEAR WAS EXTENDED. THE 'DIM' POS OF THE INDICATOR HAD FAILED AND AFTER CONFIRMING THAT THE GEAR WAS PROPERLY EXTENDED, THE FLC MADE A NORMAL LNDG.

AFTER A GAR, THE MANUAL WAS CONSULTED, AND COCKPIT LIGHTING TURNED UP, ALONG WITH THE MASTER WARNING LIGHT SWITCH.
