Narrative:

Possible clear air turbulence produced severe turbulence leveling off at FL330. No earlier reports of turbulence. 3 passenger with minor injuries. Captain ACARS'ed an electronic downlink describing the event. Although there were some widely scattered, low level (FL200 -- tops) thunderstorms, they were west of course according to captain. Captain saw nothing on airborne radar. Captain elected to continue on to destination (dtw) since injuries were minor according to cabin crew.

Narrative: POSSIBLE CLR AIR TURB PRODUCED SEVERE TURB LEVELING OFF AT FL330. NO EARLIER RPTS OF TURB. 3 PAX WITH MINOR INJURIES. CAPT ACARS'ED AN ELECTRONIC DOWNLINK DESCRIBING THE EVENT.
