Narrative:
On arrival at dfw the ground crew brought to my attention that an access panel had apparently come loose some time during our flight to dfw. It was an APU access panel of which a section was missing. First officer did walkaround and noted nothing unusual. Aircraft flew normally and no unusual noise or vibration was reported by the flight attendant in the back. I advised dfw chief pilot by phone at approximately XX50 and he advised filing a report.
