Narrative:
During cruise the captain noticed the oil cooler flap light was on indicating that the oil cooler flaps were open. The flap open speed is 150 KTS. We slowed down from 190 KTS to 150 KTS and shut the flaps. Once on the ground in smf, a mechanic checked the flaps and found no damage. The captain stated that he may have accidentally opened the oil cooler flaps when he turned on the automatic ignitions.
