Narrative:
At approximately XX50Z around hikay intersection, we were given a descent from 11000 ft to 7000 ft. I read back the clearance and we began our descent. At 10500 ft we received a TA, traffic was 12000 ft, 5 mi, and 1000 ft below us. Center then gave us an immediate climb back to 11000 ft and told us we had taken the descent clearance for other aircraft. The first officer responded quickly and climbed back to 11000 ft. The first officer and our FAA jump seat rider both heard the clearance for our call sign. Center never advised us of the traffic.
