Narrative:
En route from lihue, hi, to honolulu we were cleared to 15000 ft. We were following slower traffic which we had on our TCASII. As we approached our cruise altitude we were told to expect to slow up to 250 KTS at booke intersection. I was looking outside for the traffic and flew through 15000 ft to 15600 ft. At about the same time we were given 8000 ft and were asked by the controller to say our altitude so that he could verify his equipment. By now we were at 14600 ft on our descent.
