Narrative:
On climb out, off baltimore runway 15R in IMC, icing conditions in the dark, we made multiple vectored turns. The ATC radio traffic was very busy. We were cleared higher and direct to ldn. In the dark, we mistyped 'lin' (the 'I' is under the 'D' on keyboard) instead of 'ldn.' this NAVAID was basically on the same heading, but as it turned out a few mi north. It appeared correct so we proceeded, but we were pulling out the correct maps to confirm this course. While doing this ATC queried and stated we were north of course. The mistake was quickly noted and corrected. To our knowledge no traffic conflict occurred or airspace broken. The remainder of the flight was uneventful.
