Narrative:
Flight was cleared to land on runway 31R at dfw. We were talking with tower on frequency 127.50. After landing, tower told us to cross runway 35C and monitor tower on 126.55. After crossing runway 35C the first officer called tower on 126.55 and asked if tower wanted us to cross runway 35L. The controller stuttered a bit and said, 'ah, ya cross runway 35L.' we switched to ground control after crossing runway 35L and they informed us to call the tower with the number they gave us. The person I spoke with said no action would be taken, just wanted to find out what happened. It seems the 2 controllers were not talking to each other, from 127.5 to 126.55. Need better communications.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 31R, AN SF34 PLT CLAIMS THAT THEY WERE INSTRUCTED TO CROSS RWY 31C AND MONITOR TWR ON ANOTHER FREQ. WHEN CALLING ON THAT FREQ, THE CTLR APPEARED TO BE CONFUSED AS TO THE ACFT'S POS, THEN CLRED THEM ACROSS RWY 31L AND ASKED THAT THEY CALL ON THE PHONE. THE RPTR CLAIMS THAT THE TWR JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
Narrative: FLT WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 31R AT DFW. WE WERE TALKING WITH TWR ON FREQ 127.50. AFTER LNDG, TWR TOLD US TO CROSS RWY 35C AND MONITOR TWR ON 126.55. AFTER XING RWY 35C THE FO CALLED TWR ON 126.55 AND ASKED IF TWR WANTED US TO CROSS RWY 35L. THE CTLR STUTTERED A BIT AND SAID, 'AH, YA CROSS RWY 35L.' WE SWITCHED TO GND CTL AFTER XING RWY 35L AND THEY INFORMED US TO CALL THE TWR WITH THE NUMBER THEY GAVE US. THE PERSON I SPOKE WITH SAID NO ACTION WOULD BE TAKEN, JUST WANTED TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. IT SEEMS THE 2 CTLRS WERE NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER, FROM 127.5 TO 126.55. NEED BETTER COMS.
