Narrative:
During our descent, the engine overtemp (right side) light came on along with erratic engine indications. The emergency checklist was completed however the light remained on. The checklist told us to execute a precautionary shutdown. This was completed along with the checklist, an emergency was declared, passenger briefed and the flight landed in memphis without incident.

Title: FLC OF AN ACR TURBOPROP SHUT DOWN THE R ENG AND DECLARED AN EMER DURING DSCNT DUE TO AN OVERTEMP INDICATION AND THE ENG OPERATING ERRATICALLY.
Narrative: DURING OUR DSCNT, THE ENG OVERTEMP (R SIDE) LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH ERRATIC ENG INDICATIONS. THE EMER CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED HOWEVER THE LIGHT REMAINED ON. THE CHKLIST TOLD US TO EXECUTE A PRECAUTIONARY SHUTDOWN. THIS WAS COMPLETED ALONG WITH THE CHKLIST, AN EMER WAS DECLARED, PAX BRIEFED AND THE FLT LANDED IN MEMPHIS WITHOUT INCIDENT.
