Narrative:
Departing rdu cleared the pack 4 departure to azell then to pulaski. On departure after passing liberty I turned toward pulaski without going to azell. Shortly after the turn center said we had turned short and gave us a vector. I guess I didn't review the flight plan well enough or it was just a slip of the mind to leave off azell. Supplemental information from acn 391311: departing rdu the WX was IFR and rain. Icing conditions existed and turbulence reported. On departure in following the departure/climb checklists in the WX we both missed the azell fix on the pack 4 departure and turned early to psk. Center gave us a vector for the climb and we turned thinking it was just a center vector. When he queried about azell then we realized we turned early. A more thorough briefing of fixes of the departure would have prevented this.

Title: AN ACR MD80 DEVIATED FROM THEIR ASSIGNED SID, BUT THE ARTCC CTLR CORRECTED THEM WITH A TIMELY VECTOR.
Narrative: DEPARTING RDU CLRED THE PACK 4 DEP TO AZELL THEN TO PULASKI. ON DEP AFTER PASSING LIBERTY I TURNED TOWARD PULASKI WITHOUT GOING TO AZELL. SHORTLY AFTER THE TURN CTR SAID WE HAD TURNED SHORT AND GAVE US A VECTOR. I GUESS I DIDN'T REVIEW THE FLT PLAN WELL ENOUGH OR IT WAS JUST A SLIP OF THE MIND TO LEAVE OFF AZELL. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 391311: DEPARTING RDU THE WX WAS IFR AND RAIN. ICING CONDITIONS EXISTED AND TURB RPTED. ON DEP IN FOLLOWING THE DEP/CLB CHKLISTS IN THE WX WE BOTH MISSED THE AZELL FIX ON THE PACK 4 DEP AND TURNED EARLY TO PSK. CTR GAVE US A VECTOR FOR THE CLB AND WE TURNED THINKING IT WAS JUST A CTR VECTOR. WHEN HE QUERIED ABOUT AZELL THEN WE REALIZED WE TURNED EARLY. A MORE THOROUGH BRIEFING OF FIXES OF THE DEP WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS.
