Narrative:
Had a strut overheat indication on initial climb out from tulsa. Strut overheat came on as engine and wing anti-ice were selected. Accomplished flight manual procedures and the light went out. Due to overcast WX at tulsa and chance of reoccurrence if anti-ice selected, elected to proceed to dfw with right engine at idle power. Initial routing was tul-mlc bonham two to dfw. Approaching mlc, center gave us a reroute to the bowie arrival. Requested that we be allowed to continue on the bonham arrival which was approved. Center then apparently declared an emergency due to our request. We did not declare an emergency, but were advised that we were considered an emergency aircraft by ZFW. Flew remainder of the arrival with the right engine at idle. Met by dfw emergency equipment who did an exterior inspection of the aircraft.

Title: AN ACR B727 FLC EXPERIENCED A #3 ENG STRUT OVERHEAT SHORTLY AFTER TKOF WITH PNEUMATIC ANTI-ICE ON. THEY SHUT OFF THE ANTI-ICE AND RETARDED THE #3 ENG TO IDLE AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT.
Narrative: HAD A STRUT OVERHEAT INDICATION ON INITIAL CLBOUT FROM TULSA. STRUT OVERHEAT CAME ON AS ENG AND WING ANTI-ICE WERE SELECTED. ACCOMPLISHED FLT MANUAL PROCS AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. DUE TO OVCST WX AT TULSA AND CHANCE OF REOCCURRENCE IF ANTI-ICE SELECTED, ELECTED TO PROCEED TO DFW WITH R ENG AT IDLE PWR. INITIAL ROUTING WAS TUL-MLC BONHAM TWO TO DFW. APCHING MLC, CTR GAVE US A REROUTE TO THE BOWIE ARR. REQUESTED THAT WE BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE ON THE BONHAM ARR WHICH WAS APPROVED. CTR THEN APPARENTLY DECLARED AN EMER DUE TO OUR REQUEST. WE DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER, BUT WERE ADVISED THAT WE WERE CONSIDERED AN EMER ACFT BY ZFW. FLEW REMAINDER OF THE ARR WITH THE R ENG AT IDLE. MET BY DFW EMER EQUIP WHO DID AN EXTERIOR INSPECTION OF THE ACFT.
