Narrative:
I was climbing to FL370, passing through FL350 the pilot's windshield delaminated and crazed so badly that I could not see through it. I immediately declared an emergency with center. I said 'center this is xyz I am declaring an emergency. I have a broken windshield and I need to come down.' the controller at that time said roger maintain FL350. I told him that I had already started a descent and I was going to continue down. He said that the lowest I could descend at that time was FL310. I repeated that I was going to continue the descent. He stated that I could exercise the emergency option. I told him that I was doing that at the time. He asked how low I needed to go. I told him that I needed to get below 15000 ft. I had the aircraft slowed to 180 KIAS at that time with speed boards out. That let me come down at 4500 FPM. I requested the nearest airport and he vectored me to txk where we landed and had the windshield replaced.

Title: A CPR HS25 FLC HAD THE CAPT'S WINDSCREEN DELAMINATE AND CRAZE TO THE EXTENT THAT THE CAPT COULD NOT SEE THROUGH IT. HE DECLARED AN EMER AND THE CTLR SUPPLIED A VECTOR TO AN ALTERNATE.
Narrative: I WAS CLBING TO FL370, PASSING THROUGH FL350 THE PLT'S WINDSHIELD DELAMINATED AND CRAZED SO BADLY THAT I COULD NOT SEE THROUGH IT. I IMMEDIATELY DECLARED AN EMER WITH CTR. I SAID 'CTR THIS IS XYZ I AM DECLARING AN EMER. I HAVE A BROKEN WINDSHIELD AND I NEED TO COME DOWN.' THE CTLR AT THAT TIME SAID ROGER MAINTAIN FL350. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD ALREADY STARTED A DSCNT AND I WAS GOING TO CONTINUE DOWN. HE SAID THAT THE LOWEST I COULD DSND AT THAT TIME WAS FL310. I REPEATED THAT I WAS GOING TO CONTINUE THE DSCNT. HE STATED THAT I COULD EXERCISE THE EMER OPTION. I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS DOING THAT AT THE TIME. HE ASKED HOW LOW I NEEDED TO GO. I TOLD HIM THAT I NEEDED TO GET BELOW 15000 FT. I HAD THE ACFT SLOWED TO 180 KIAS AT THAT TIME WITH SPD BOARDS OUT. THAT LET ME COME DOWN AT 4500 FPM. I REQUESTED THE NEAREST ARPT AND HE VECTORED ME TO TXK WHERE WE LANDED AND HAD THE WINDSHIELD REPLACED.
