Narrative:
Cruising at FL310 75 mi south of sat, I was informed that there was a passenger having a medical problem. The passenger was in seat XXX. It was reported by the #1 flight attendant that the passenger had difficulty breathing, chest pain, cold and clammy skin and a blood pressure of 70/45. This report was made by a doctor. He was assisted by a dds. I informed ATC that there was a medical emergency and a landing in sat was needed. They complied with a heading and a descent. The first officer informed dispatch and sat operations of my intentions. A landing was made and paramedics met the aircraft. Passenger and his wife deplaned and their baggage was removed. Landing in sat with an ill passenger, the landing weight at touchdown was 130200 pounds. The landing was soft with no problem and an entry was made. The aircraft was inspected by maintenance and returned to service.

Title: AN ACR MD80 FLC RPTS MAKING AN EMER DIVERSION AND LNDG IN ORDER TO GET MEDICAL AID FOR AN ILL PAX.
Narrative: CRUISING AT FL310 75 MI S OF SAT, I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A PAX HAVING A MEDICAL PROB. THE PAX WAS IN SEAT XXX. IT WAS RPTED BY THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT THAT THE PAX HAD DIFFICULTY BREATHING, CHEST PAIN, COLD AND CLAMMY SKIN AND A BLOOD PRESSURE OF 70/45. THIS RPT WAS MADE BY A DOCTOR. HE WAS ASSISTED BY A DDS. I INFORMED ATC THAT THERE WAS A MEDICAL EMER AND A LNDG IN SAT WAS NEEDED. THEY COMPLIED WITH A HDG AND A DSCNT. THE FO INFORMED DISPATCH AND SAT OPS OF MY INTENTIONS. A LNDG WAS MADE AND PARAMEDICS MET THE ACFT. PAX AND HIS WIFE DEPLANED AND THEIR BAGGAGE WAS REMOVED. LNDG IN SAT WITH AN ILL PAX, THE LNDG WT AT TOUCHDOWN WAS 130200 LBS. THE LNDG WAS SOFT WITH NO PROB AND AN ENTRY WAS MADE. THE ACFT WAS INSPECTED BY MAINT AND RETURNED TO SVC.
