Narrative:
After contacting clearance delivery on ground at santa barbara airport, I entered taxiway. I was informed by ground control (on ground control frequency) that I had not contacted them before entering taxiway. I apologized (rather than debate the point) and asked to taxi to run-up area. Run-up and takeoff uneventful.

Narrative: AFTER CONTACTING CLRNC DELIVERY ON GND AT SANTA BARBARA ARPT, I ENTERED TXWY. I WAS INFORMED BY GND CTL (ON GND CTL FREQ) THAT I HAD NOT CONTACTED THEM BEFORE ENTERING TXWY. I APOLOGIZED (RATHER THAN DEBATE THE POINT) AND ASKED TO TAXI TO RUN-UP AREA. RUN-UP AND TKOF UNEVENTFUL.
