Narrative:
Working on a write-up rudder trim lights inoperative I removed the rudder trim knob and indicator to see if it could be relamped, it could not. I replaced the knob and indicator and I got the indicator 5 units off. Not paying attention, paying closer attention when working on a job, I did not document my work.

Title: A B727-200 WITH RUDDER TRIM INDICATOR LIGHTS WAS WORKED AND RUDDER TRIM KNOB WAS REINSTALLED 5 UNITS IN ERROR.
Narrative: WORKING ON A WRITE-UP RUDDER TRIM LIGHTS INOP I REMOVED THE RUDDER TRIM KNOB AND INDICATOR TO SEE IF IT COULD BE RELAMPED, IT COULD NOT. I REPLACED THE KNOB AND INDICATOR AND I GOT THE INDICATOR 5 UNITS OFF. NOT PAYING ATTN, PAYING CLOSER ATTN WHEN WORKING ON A JOB, I DID NOT DOCUMENT MY WORK.
