Narrative:
I reported to aircraft. We did checklist and briefed departure. After pushback, we waited in alley for a few mins since we felt a little rushed. We again reviewed flight plan -- takeoff power setting and departure. First officer stated we were cleared as filed via dorval 4. We taxied to runway 28, took off, turned to 320 degrees and called departure. As we rollout out of 320 degrees, departure told us to return to runway heading and said tower must have changed our departure. I asked if there had been any conflicts and departure said no problem at all, just that the noise abatement people might be a little upset. Climbing through 10000 ft, I asked for clearance first officer had copied. First officer had written it down since there was no pre departure clearance. He had written dorval 2, but somehow told me dorval 4. In spite of our best efforts to work as a crew, I overlooked the need to verify clrncs. Adding to problem is use by yul of similar SID titles with different departures -- dorval 2 and dorval 4. Maybe they should rename one of them. We also had a momentary distraction during departure resulting in late call to departure otherwise we never would have made the turn.

Title: CAPT OF A FOKKER 100 FOLLOWED THE WRONG SID DEP DURING CLB AFTER TKOF RESULTING IN ATC INTERVENTION TO BRING HIM BACK ON TRACK.
Narrative: I RPTED TO ACFT. WE DID CHKLIST AND BRIEFED DEP. AFTER PUSHBACK, WE WAITED IN ALLEY FOR A FEW MINS SINCE WE FELT A LITTLE RUSHED. WE AGAIN REVIEWED FLT PLAN -- TKOF PWR SETTING AND DEP. FO STATED WE WERE CLRED AS FILED VIA DORVAL 4. WE TAXIED TO RWY 28, TOOK OFF, TURNED TO 320 DEGS AND CALLED DEP. AS WE ROLLOUT OUT OF 320 DEGS, DEP TOLD US TO RETURN TO RWY HDG AND SAID TWR MUST HAVE CHANGED OUR DEP. I ASKED IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY CONFLICTS AND DEP SAID NO PROB AT ALL, JUST THAT THE NOISE ABATEMENT PEOPLE MIGHT BE A LITTLE UPSET. CLBING THROUGH 10000 FT, I ASKED FOR CLRNC FO HAD COPIED. FO HAD WRITTEN IT DOWN SINCE THERE WAS NO PDC. HE HAD WRITTEN DORVAL 2, BUT SOMEHOW TOLD ME DORVAL 4. IN SPITE OF OUR BEST EFFORTS TO WORK AS A CREW, I OVERLOOKED THE NEED TO VERIFY CLRNCS. ADDING TO PROB IS USE BY YUL OF SIMILAR SID TITLES WITH DIFFERENT DEPS -- DORVAL 2 AND DORVAL 4. MAYBE THEY SHOULD RENAME ONE OF THEM. WE ALSO HAD A MOMENTARY DISTR DURING DEP RESULTING IN LATE CALL TO DEP OTHERWISE WE NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE THE TURN.
