Narrative:
C150, climbing out of aun, ca, with 1/4 tank of fuel and engine failed. At approximately 700 ft above terrain, looked for an adequate landing site. Crossed over a golf course (a noise sensitive area) and successfully landed in a ranch pasture. No injury to occupants (2) or to the pasture. Minor damage to wheel pants on aircraft and right wingtip fairing. Aircraft was helicopter lifted out of field to airport.

Title: PLT OF A C150 TOOK OFF WITH INSUFFICIENT FUEL RESULTING IN AN OFF ARPT FORCED LNDG AFTER THE ENG QUIT DUE TO FUEL STARVATION. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE 2 OCCUPANTS AND ONLY MINOR DAMAGE TO 1 WINGTIP AND WHEEL PANTS OF THE ACFT.
Narrative: C150, CLBING OUT OF AUN, CA, WITH 1/4 TANK OF FUEL AND ENG FAILED. AT APPROX 700 FT ABOVE TERRAIN, LOOKED FOR AN ADEQUATE LNDG SITE.
