Narrative:
Taxiing on main taxiway northbound at ocala airport. Due to very narrow txwys, was receiving turn directions over unicom frequency from ground vehicle ahead. Turned tiller to left upon hearing 'turn left,' and nosewheel slid off the taxiway. Taxiway wet, unable to determine if late turn signal or nosewheel skid. Aircraft loaded with horses plus grooms. No injuries, no damage. Aircraft towed backwards in accordance with approved maintenance procedures. Taxied back to ramp, refueled. Crew required to take DOT alcohol/drug test. Same accomplished, departed ocala 5 hours 20 mins late for ontario, ca. Horses none the worse for wear as aircraft pack and ground air conditioning unit used. Supplemental information from acn 394541: corrective action: tug aircraft to runway, txwys make it too tight. Supplemental information from acn 394548: taxiway wet, unable to determine if late turn signal or nosewheel skid. Towed backwards. No damage to aircraft.
