Narrative:
On short final to land at ase, green system hydraulic low quantity light, air low pressure hydraulic light, and lift spoilers lights illuminated. After landing, both yellow and green hydraulic brake system failed resulting in no lift/dump spoilers, no steering, and only the emergency brake system with no antiskid. All main gear tires blew and aircraft skidded off left side of runway about 100 ft before the end of the runway. No injuries, minor damage only. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the hydraulic system failure was caused by a nose gear hydraulic return line failure. The reporter said maintenance did not specify if the line was solid or a flexible hose.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A BAE146-200 ON APCH LOST ALL MAIN HYD SYS PRESSURE AND QUANTITY RESULTING IN NO BRAKES, SPOILERS, OR NOSE GEAR STEERING. ON LNDG ACFT SKIDDED OFF THE RWY.
Narrative: ON SHORT FINAL TO LAND AT ASE, GREEN SYS HYD LOW QUANTITY LIGHT, AIR LOW PRESSURE HYD LIGHT, AND LIFT SPOILERS LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. AFTER LNDG, BOTH YELLOW AND GREEN HYD BRAKE SYS FAILED RESULTING IN NO LIFT/DUMP SPOILERS, NO STEERING, AND ONLY THE EMER BRAKE SYS WITH NO ANTISKID. ALL MAIN GEAR TIRES BLEW AND ACFT SKIDDED OFF L SIDE OF RWY ABOUT 100 FT BEFORE THE END OF THE RWY. NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE ONLY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE HYD SYS FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A NOSE GEAR HYD RETURN LINE FAILURE. THE RPTR SAID MAINT DID NOT SPECIFY IF THE LINE WAS SOLID OR A FLEXIBLE HOSE.
