Narrative:
On mar/xa/98 at XA55 local, on vector heading of 120 degrees, I was instructed by dfw departure to climb from 3000 ft MSL to 4000 ft MSL and instructed to not exceed 180 KTS in climb. I leveled at 4000 ft MSL and accelerated to 210 KTS and then was questioned why I was doing 210 KTS. I said shg instructed me to not exceed 180 KTS in climb. She said she did not. Then I was instructed to climb and maintain 8000 ft and maintain 180 KTS. I did as instructed. She was angry when I was at 210 KTS at 4000 ft, but I was instructed not to exceed 180 KTS in climb, which when level will void the 180 KTS. Requested pull tape.
