Narrative:
Aircraft #1 departed ads at XX30 CST. After 5 mins at 2000 ft aircraft #1 was 'buzzed' by aircraft #2. Aircraft #2 had departed ads immediately after aircraft #1 and was closing in on aircraft #1 from 6 O'clock position low. The probable reason for the 'buzz' was that aircraft #1 had received takeoff clearance before aircraft #2. In spite of that aircraft #2 had arrived to the hold short position (run-up area) before aircraft #1. Aircraft #1 however had called the tower before aircraft #2 and therefore got takeoff clearance before aircraft #2. This situation however made the pilot of aircraft #2 very angry which could be clearly seen through facial expressions and the fact that I could see him 'giving me the finger' during the 'buzz.' no evasive action was taken since aircraft #2 wasn't noticed until it was abeam and slightly below aircraft #1.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: NMAC BTWN A C172 LEVELED AT 2000 FT AFTER A CLBOUT FROM A CTLED ARPT AND A BEECH BONANZA BE35 THAT HAD JUST DEPARTED BEHIND THE C172 AND PASSING WITHIN 20 FT OF THE RPTING C172. THE RPTR BELIEVES THAT THE BE35 PLT WAS UPSET THAT HE HAD GOTTEN TKOF CLRNC BEFORE HIM EVEN THOUGH THE BE35 PLT WAS #1 AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE.
Narrative: ACFT #1 DEPARTED ADS AT XX30 CST. AFTER 5 MINS AT 2000 FT ACFT #1 WAS 'BUZZED' BY ACFT #2. ACFT #2 HAD DEPARTED ADS IMMEDIATELY AFTER ACFT #1 AND WAS CLOSING IN ON ACFT #1 FROM 6 O'CLOCK POS LOW. THE PROBABLE REASON FOR THE 'BUZZ' WAS THAT ACFT #1 HAD RECEIVED TKOF CLRNC BEFORE ACFT #2. IN SPITE OF THAT ACFT #2 HAD ARRIVED TO THE HOLD SHORT POS (RUN-UP AREA) BEFORE ACFT #1. ACFT #1 HOWEVER HAD CALLED THE TWR BEFORE ACFT #2 AND THEREFORE GOT TKOF CLRNC BEFORE ACFT #2. THIS SIT HOWEVER MADE THE PLT OF ACFT #2 VERY ANGRY WHICH COULD BE CLRLY SEEN THROUGH FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND THE FACT THAT I COULD SEE HIM 'GIVING ME THE FINGER' DURING THE 'BUZZ.' NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN SINCE ACFT #2 WASN'T NOTICED UNTIL IT WAS ABEAM AND SLIGHTLY BELOW ACFT #1.
