Narrative:

On the mitts arrival to ILS runway 24R at lax, we discovered an approximately 2 mi map shift as compared to raw data. With this added distraction after a close-in change to the arrival and ILS runway, we were slightly south of the localizer when lax approach asked to turn right 20 degrees and intercept the localizer. We complied and there was no further remarks from lax approach. I believe the high workload of approach changes with the map shift contributed to our being south of the localizer.

Title: B767 ACFT ON STAR ARR, FLC SUSPECTS FMC MAP SHIFT BECAUSE RAW DATA SHOWED 2 MI OFF TRACK. APCH CTLR GAVE A HDG CLRNC FOR INTERCEPT.

Narrative: ON THE MITTS ARR TO ILS RWY 24R AT LAX, WE DISCOVERED AN APPROX 2 MI MAP SHIFT AS COMPARED TO RAW DATA. WITH THIS ADDED DISTR AFTER A CLOSE-IN CHANGE TO THE ARR AND ILS RWY, WE WERE SLIGHTLY S OF THE LOC WHEN LAX APCH ASKED TO TURN R 20 DEGS AND INTERCEPT THE LOC. WE COMPLIED AND THERE WAS NO FURTHER REMARKS FROM LAX APCH. I BELIEVE THE HIGH WORKLOAD OF APCH CHANGES WITH THE MAP SHIFT CONTRIBUTED TO OUR BEING S OF THE LOC.
