Narrative:

I observed a piper archer pass under me at approximately 100-200 ft. I first observed the archer at my 2 O'clock position and he appeared to be descending. The distance where I first saw the archer was approximately 1/4 mi. My cruise altitude was 3000 ft MSL (1500 ft AGL), heading 300 degrees, IAS 120 mph. My location was approximately 5 NM northwest of cgz airport, az. The archer may have been in my blind spot prior to my seeing him. I was flying a piper cherokee.

Title: A PA28 HAS ANOTHER PA28 FLY WITHIN 100 FT OF IT WHILE CRUISING AT 1500 FT AGL. NO EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN.

Narrative: I OBSERVED A PIPER ARCHER PASS UNDER ME AT APPROX 100-200 FT. I FIRST OBSERVED THE ARCHER AT MY 2 O'CLOCK POS AND HE APPEARED TO BE DSNDING. THE DISTANCE WHERE I FIRST SAW THE ARCHER WAS APPROX 1/4 MI. MY CRUISE ALT WAS 3000 FT MSL (1500 FT AGL), HDG 300 DEGS, IAS 120 MPH. MY LOCATION WAS APPROX 5 NM NW OF CGZ ARPT, AZ. THE ARCHER MAY HAVE BEEN IN MY BLIND SPOT PRIOR TO MY SEEING HIM. I WAS FLYING A PIPER CHEROKEE.
