Narrative:

Our flight was released from msp to mbj (montego bay, jamaica) with all needed paperwork and clrncs. When we got to the cuban fir, ZMA informed us that we were not authority/authorized to overfly cuba (we did contact cuba center 10 mins prior as normal) so we were given a new route that extended our flight 363 NM and adding 50 mins to our flight. We contacted company via commercial radio for phone patch to company for rerelease from our point which was approximately 270-300 NM southeast of dlp VOR and continued on. On completion of flight, we landed with 7000 pounds of total fuel. No further incident occurred.
