Narrative:
FSDO left a message on my answering machine at home that I had flown through an active restr area, and requested I call them. We have been playing telephone tag since then. The only restr area near my flight that day was R4401A&B. I knew it was active from my FSS briefing, and kept hagler aaf visible out the right side of my plane as I flew heading 360 degrees past R4401A&B. I therefore knew I was clear of the restr area. If their radar showed me in, then I attribute it to inaccuracies inherent in radar/atcrbs tracking. If they believe I violated a different restr area, it is not charted, or they tracked the wrong aircraft.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: SMA ACFT RPTEDLY PENETRATED ACTIVE RESTR AREA. RPTR PLT LEARNED OF THE CHARGE FROM AN ANSWERING MACHINE RECORDING FROM AN FSDO. RPTR KNEW OF THE HOT AREA AND SAYS HE STAYED CLR.
Narrative: FSDO LEFT A MESSAGE ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE AT HOME THAT I HAD FLOWN THROUGH AN ACTIVE RESTR AREA, AND REQUESTED I CALL THEM. WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING TELEPHONE TAG SINCE THEN. THE ONLY RESTR AREA NEAR MY FLT THAT DAY WAS R4401A&B. I KNEW IT WAS ACTIVE FROM MY FSS BRIEFING, AND KEPT HAGLER AAF VISIBLE OUT THE R SIDE OF MY PLANE AS I FLEW HDG 360 DEGS PAST R4401A&B. I THEREFORE KNEW I WAS CLR OF THE RESTR AREA. IF THEIR RADAR SHOWED ME IN, THEN I ATTRIBUTE IT TO INACCURACIES INHERENT IN RADAR/ATCRBS TRACKING. IF THEY BELIEVE I VIOLATED A DIFFERENT RESTR AREA, IT IS NOT CHARTED, OR THEY TRACKED THE WRONG ACFT.
