Narrative:
On radio handoff from approach control to final approach control, the frequency was erroneously dialed. When back on correct frequency, a 130 degree right turn was directed. Aircraft descended to 3700 ft in turn, then returned to 4000 and continued approach to uneventful landing.

Title: DC10-10 ON APCH DEVIATED FROM ALTITUDE DSNDING 300 FT, BUT REGAINED ASSIGNED ALT IMMEDIATELY.
Narrative: ON RADIO HANDOFF FROM APPROACH CTL TO FINAL APPROACH CTL, THE FREQ WAS ERRONEOUSLY DIALED. WHEN BACK ON CORRECT FREQ, A 130 DEG R TURN WAS DIRECTED. ACFT DSNDED TO 3700 FT IN TURN, THEN RETURNED TO 4000 AND CONTINUED APPROACH TO UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
