Narrative:
On above mentioned date and time, writer discovered improper logbook entry in aircraft. One item was written up as deferred. This was the captain's side ADI in normal mode. While the aircraft I have been flying have 3 gyros, this aircraft only had 2. With the aircraft that have the 3 gyros, 1 is deferrable. The aircraft with 2 gyros, none are deferrable. The aircraft was flown numerous legs by different capts. The aircraft was handed off to me by a captain that had mentioned the discrepancies as he just flew it in. He stated everything was ok. We were behind schedule, so I did not take the time to read the MEL item. At least not until I got to our hub in tol. I talked to maintenance who cleared the MEL/deferred maintenance item. Next time I will be sure to read the MEL -- behind schedule or not.
