Narrative:
During cruise flight, while repositioning aircraft from heliport to airport, encountered windshear (vertical) which momentarily caused moderate to heavy 1 to 1 vertical vibration in main rotor system. As I was passing another private airport at the time, I declared emergency (only method to legally land at the private heliport) as precaution. I landed, shut down, and examined aircraft. Finding all ok, I called base to inform them of emergency declaration and precautionary landing. After discussing windshear event and examining aircraft with locally based mechanic, I restarted aircraft and continued to home base. No further vibrations noted. Landed both times uneventfully. Note: reinforcing my decision to declare emergency in order to land at the private heliport, I was approached by a ground attendant and ordered to leave immediately. I was told I was not permitted to land at the private heliport and the person was not interested in my precautionary reasons for landing.

Title: BELL 206 L-1 HELI IN CRUISE ENCOUNTERED WINDSHEAR WHICH CAUSED VIBRATION IN MAIN ROTOR SYS. RPTR PLT DECLARED AN EMER AND LANDED AT A PVT HELIPORT WHERE HE WAS ORDERED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.
Narrative: DURING CRUISE FLT, WHILE REPOSITIONING ACFT FROM HELIPORT TO ARPT, ENCOUNTERED WINDSHEAR (VERT) WHICH MOMENTARILY CAUSED MODERATE TO HVY 1 TO 1 VERT VIBRATION IN MAIN ROTOR SYS. AS I WAS PASSING ANOTHER PVT ARPT AT THE TIME, I DECLARED EMER (ONLY METHOD TO LEGALLY LAND AT THE PVT HELIPORT) AS PRECAUTION. I LANDED, SHUT DOWN, AND EXAMINED ACFT. FINDING ALL OK, I CALLED BASE TO INFORM THEM OF EMER DECLARATION AND PRECAUTIONARY LNDG. AFTER DISCUSSING WINDSHEAR EVENT AND EXAMINING ACFT WITH LOCALLY BASED MECH, I RESTARTED ACFT AND CONTINUED TO HOME BASE. NO FURTHER VIBRATIONS NOTED. LANDED BOTH TIMES UNEVENTFULLY. NOTE: REINFORCING MY DECISION TO DECLARE EMER IN ORDER TO LAND AT THE PVT HELIPORT, I WAS APCHED BY A GND ATTENDANT AND ORDERED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. I WAS TOLD I WAS NOT PERMITTED TO LAND AT THE PVT HELIPORT AND THE PERSON WAS NOT INTERESTED IN MY PRECAUTIONARY REASONS FOR LNDG.
