Narrative:
I left for oakland before sunrise and had an uneventful flight with little traffic to be heard on ATC. I had requested flight following. I have flown this particular flight several times before, in many different flight conditions. I was very relaxed and possibly a little groggy from the predawn flight. My letdown and descent was uneventful, being handed off from center to bay approach. I never heard the handoff from bay approach to oakland tower. (I believe the controller never did.) thus I landed in oakland with no radio contact or clearance to land. The good thing is that at that hour of the morning there was very little air traffic. I did not realize my error until I taxied off the active runway and contacted ground. I think the term 'fat, dumb, and happy' applies in this situation. I was expecting to be handed off to oak tower, but because I was so relaxed and thinking about the landing I forgot that I had not talked to anyone. This incident could have been avoided with the use of a checklist (since I fly single pilot).

Title: PLT OF AN SMT CPR TWIN FORGOT TO CONTACT TWR PRIOR TO LNDG RESULTING IN LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC. RPTR WAS ON A VFR FLT PLAN WITH FLT FOLLOWING AND DID NOT REALIZE HIS MISTAKE UNTIL CONTACTING GND CTL AFTER LNDG.
Narrative: I LEFT FOR OAKLAND BEFORE SUNRISE AND HAD AN UNEVENTFUL FLT WITH LITTLE TFC TO BE HEARD ON ATC. I HAD REQUESTED FLT FOLLOWING. I HAVE FLOWN THIS PARTICULAR FLT SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE, IN MANY DIFFERENT FLT CONDITIONS. I WAS VERY RELAXED AND POSSIBLY A LITTLE GROGGY FROM THE PREDAWN FLT. MY LETDOWN AND DSCNT WAS UNEVENTFUL, BEING HANDED OFF FROM CTR TO BAY APCH. I NEVER HEARD THE HDOF FROM BAY APCH TO OAKLAND TWR. (I BELIEVE THE CTLR NEVER DID.) THUS I LANDED IN OAKLAND WITH NO RADIO CONTACT OR CLRNC TO LAND. THE GOOD THING IS THAT AT THAT HR OF THE MORNING THERE WAS VERY LITTLE AIR TFC. I DID NOT REALIZE MY ERROR UNTIL I TAXIED OFF THE ACTIVE RWY AND CONTACTED GND. I THINK THE TERM 'FAT, DUMB, AND HAPPY' APPLIES IN THIS SIT. I WAS EXPECTING TO BE HANDED OFF TO OAK TWR, BUT BECAUSE I WAS SO RELAXED AND THINKING ABOUT THE LNDG I FORGOT THAT I HAD NOT TALKED TO ANYONE. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED WITH THE USE OF A CHKLIST (SINCE I FLY SINGLE PLT).
