Narrative:
On final approach to runway 12 at mia we experienced strong gusting winds below 300 ft AGL. Prior to 300 ft aircraft completely stabilized (ie, on speed and on GS). During landing flare airspeed increased 10-15 KTS and a long float resulted prior to touchdown. On touchdown aircraft bounced unexpectedly. Power was applied and a go around executed. Aircraft touched down lightly a second time. No hard landing resulted. I was at the controls entire time. Wind given on ATIS 140 degrees/12 KTS gusting 16 KTS. Wind check was requested on final, given as 180 degrees/11 KTS. Aircraft was fairly light at 130000 pounds.
