Narrative:

We were a flight waiting for takeoff clearance on runway 32L, holding short on twxy M. Ord tower cleared us for takeoff and we acknowledged. Once in the air tower asked if we had heard our takeoff clearance canceled. We replied, 'negative' and were told to turn to 360 degrees and increase airspeed. No traffic conflict was apparent.
