Narrative:
We were cleared to taxi to runway 16 from the FBO and to hold short of runway 24. We taxied down runway 30 and stopped short of runway 24 and were close due to the size of the runways. A twin cessna departed runway 24 and passed within about 20 ft of our gulfstream-ii and there was considerable dialogue between the twin cessna and the tower regarding the proximity of both aircraft to one another.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF A GULFSTREAM II (G2), FAILED TO STOP SUFFICIENTLY SHORT OF ANOTHER ACTIVE RWY DURING TAXI FOR TKOF CAUSING A TWIN CESSNA TAKING OFF TO PASS WITHIN 20 FT OF THE GULFSTREAM. A VERBAL EXCHANGE BTWN THE TWR AND THE TWIN CESSNA PLT ENSUED AFTER PASSING. THE GULFSTREAM FLC BELIEVED THAT THEY HAD PROPERLY HELD SHORT, BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR LARGE ACFT AND THE NARROW SIZE OF THE RWY, THE CESSNA PLT DID NOT THINK SO.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 16 FROM THE FBO AND TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 24. WE TAXIED DOWN RWY 30 AND STOPPED SHORT OF RWY 24 AND WERE CLOSE DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE RWYS. A TWIN CESSNA DEPARTED RWY 24 AND PASSED WITHIN ABOUT 20 FT OF OUR GULFSTREAM-II AND THERE WAS CONSIDERABLE DIALOGUE BTWN THE TWIN CESSNA AND THE TWR REGARDING THE PROX OF BOTH ACFT TO ONE ANOTHER.
