Narrative:
I was on a long right base for runway 22R when I went down the landing checklist. It was very windy creating a crosswind and very hazy, obstructing other traffic being reported. It has always been my policy to doublechk using gump on final, but I was distraction by heavy jet traffic landing and departing on runway 22R&left at mdw. I was committed to land, due to losing airspeed and altitude, when I noticed I did not have 3 green lights. The aircraft sank to the runway and skidded to the right stopping half way on the grass. Based upon the damage report, I consider this to be an incident.
