Narrative:

2 sits occurred. 1) we were approaching FAF. I put the gear handle in the down position and received an indication the gear was unsafe. We then consulted the abnormal checklist and performed the failure of 1 or more landing gear down indicator lights checklist. This resulted in abnormal indication followed by a normal landing. I then wrote up this abnormality and maintenance inspected the aircraft and signed off the aircraft for normal procedures. 2) after takeoff, I went to put the gear handle in its up position and received an unsafe gear indication. We then contacted dispatch to coordinate with maintenance and then performed the landing gear manual extension checklist. At this point, we had a safe gear indication and returned to ewr for a safe landing. The passenger were taken off and then we coordinated with maintenance to ferry the aircraft to plb.

Title: A BEECH 1900 HAS LNDG GEAR INDICATION PROBS ON FINAL APCH AT EWR. FLC USES ALTERNATE PROCS AND LANDS UNEVENTFULLY.

Narrative: 2 SITS OCCURRED. 1) WE WERE APCHING FAF. I PUT THE GEAR HANDLE IN THE DOWN POS AND RECEIVED AN INDICATION THE GEAR WAS UNSAFE. WE THEN CONSULTED THE ABNORMAL CHKLIST AND PERFORMED THE FAILURE OF 1 OR MORE LNDG GEAR DOWN INDICATOR LIGHTS CHKLIST. THIS RESULTED IN ABNORMAL INDICATION FOLLOWED BY A NORMAL LNDG. I THEN WROTE UP THIS ABNORMALITY AND MAINT INSPECTED THE ACFT AND SIGNED OFF THE ACFT FOR NORMAL PROCS. 2) AFTER TKOF, I WENT TO PUT THE GEAR HANDLE IN ITS UP POS AND RECEIVED AN UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION. WE THEN CONTACTED DISPATCH TO COORDINATE WITH MAINT AND THEN PERFORMED THE LNDG GEAR MANUAL EXTENSION CHKLIST. AT THIS POINT, WE HAD A SAFE GEAR INDICATION AND RETURNED TO EWR FOR A SAFE LNDG. THE PAX WERE TAKEN OFF AND THEN WE COORDINATED WITH MAINT TO FERRY THE ACFT TO PLB.
